The 5-Hot Dog Speed-Eating Contest
Think you can handle five?
We’re looking for 10 brave contestants to compete in the ultimate Oktoberfest hot dog showdown. Each contestant gets five hot dogs. When the clock starts, it’s every Wiener for themselves.
First contestant to completely finish all five hot dogs wins!
Contest Rules: Limited to 10 contestants. Adult participants only. Contestants receive five identical regular size hotdogs in plain buns and may drink water during the competition. All five hot dogs and buns must be completely consumed to finish. No sharing, throwing away food or interfering with another contestant. Vomiting results in immediate disqualification. Contestants must follow all instructions from event staff, and staff may stop a contestant at any time for safety reasons.
Must The 21+ ID’s will be checked before event

Celebrate Oktoberfest in downtown Lewisburg at Briergarten on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Join us for a full day of German-inspired food, cold beer, live entertainment, contests, bingo and plenty of Oktoberfest fun.
The celebration kicks off at noon and features a traditional German toast, Was Ist Das Bier?! blind beer challenge, Der Wiener Blitz hot dog eating contest, keg curling, bingo throughout the day, WV’s Wurst Polka Band and VERN’S POT O’ CHILI!
Families can also enjoy the Kids Zone at Ascend from noon–6 PM.
Grab your friends, break out the lederhosen and dirndls, and join us for one of Lewisburg’s most fun fall traditions.
Noon — Oktoberfest Begins
12–6 PM — Kids Zone Open at Ascend
12:30 PM — Traditional German Toast

1:30 PM — Bingo
2 PM — Der Wiener Blitz
2:30 PM — Bingo
3 PM — Keg Curling
4 PM — Bingo

6 PM — Vern’s Pot O’ Chili
