The Blind Beer Guessing Challenge
Think you know your beer? Prove it.
We’re looking for 10 contestants to compete in a blind beer showdown. Two at a time, contestants will wear protective goggles and get a mystery splash of beer.
Your job is simple: taste it and name the beer.
Possible beers include Kölsch, IPA, Cider, Hefeweizen, Pilsner, and Lager.
Contest Rules:
Must be 21+ with valid ID
Limited to 10 contestants
Contestants may get wet
Anyone who appears overly intoxicated will not be permitted to participate
Judges decisions are final

Celebrate Oktoberfest in downtown Lewisburg at Briergarten on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Join us for a full day of German-inspired food, cold beer, live entertainment, contests, bingo and plenty of Oktoberfest fun.
The celebration kicks off at noon and features a traditional German toast, Was Ist Das Bier?! blind beer challenge, Der Wiener Blitz hot dog eating contest, keg curling, bingo throughout the day, WV’s Wurst Polka Band and VERN’S POT O’ CHILI!
Families can also enjoy the Kids Zone at Ascend from noon–6 PM.
Grab your friends, break out the lederhosen and dirndls, and join us for one of Lewisburg’s most fun fall traditions.
Noon — Oktoberfest Begins
12–6 PM — Kids Zone Open at Ascend
12:30 PM — Traditional German Toast
1 PM — Was Ist Das Bier?!
1:30 PM — Bingo
2 PM — Der Wiener Blitz
2:30 PM — Bingo
3 PM — Keg Curling
4 PM — Bingo

6 PM — Vern’s Pot O’ Chili
